Wavestorm surfboards are the Franzia of the surf world. Ubiquitous trash foam boards, made by Costco, that have simultaneously become one of the of the most popular and hated surfboards on the planet. So we wondered—what kind of character could be behind such a creation?
Enter the notorious kook, Chad Chadley. A character we created by launching a short “mockumentary,” all about the illusive shaper. Within the surf world, the video caused quite a stir. It was even featured as “Cinema Of The Day” on the world’s biggest surf news outlet: Stab Magazine.
Chadley (aka myself) received a lot of love, a little hate, and a few death threats. So overall, it was a success.
